When Brookfield FFA members received an invitation to participate in their town’s Christmas parade, which was hosted by Brookfield Parks and Recreation, they knew they had to do something special.
Participants gathered weeks in advance to prepare for the parade, and their planning skills paid off. After purchasing lights for the tractors and hay bales, these members were excited and eager for the 2024 Brookfield Christmas Parade to arrive.
Community leaders said the Brookfield FFA Chapter’s participation in the parade showcased its passion for agriculture, which deemed it the “People’s Choice” award-winning parade entry. Many community businesses, organizations and leaders also participated in this event to bring joy to citizens during the holiday season.
Because this was the chapter’s first time participating in this event, members were a little nervous about the outcome. Once they got their tractors ready, however, they knew it was going to be a blast.
When asked about his participation in the parade, Brookfield FFA member Destin Creel said, “Getting to be a part of a special event for my FFA chapter was so much fun. I enjoyed seeing the smile on citizens’ faces as we drove by in our farm equipment.”
Being a small town in rural Missouri means agriculture is everywhere for these members, but they still believe it’s important for their chapter to be involved in various community events. Brookfield FFA hopes you had a great holiday season and wishes you a happy new year filled with love and joy.
