In 2009, John David Peterson began his Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) as a Baker County FFA member with a single beehive and a dream. Peterson’s dream has since flourished into World Honey Market, a commercial beekeeping operation based in Sanderson, Fla. Today, World Honey Market includes more than 4,000 beehives and sells honey-based products ranging from roasted nuts to beeswax to honeycomb cassettes and more. Driven by a desire to pay it forward, Peterson also trains students in the art of beekeeping and offers both an ambassador and fundraising programs for interested FFA members and chapters throughout the nation.

Watch and learn about Peterson’s 15-year journey of founding and growing World Honey Market, including memorable moments and life lessons, and how he continues to honor his FFA roots.
