Hall of States Delivers Diverse Agricultural Education

The 94th National FFA Convention & Expo has many exhibitions and educational experiences available to expand members’ interests and help them learn more about American agriculture. Among the exhibits in the Expo is the Hall of States, a collection of booths run by FFA members to showcase agricultural diversity in their states. Take a stroll down the hall.

The Seneca FFA Chapter from Kentucky highlights its state’s agriculture variety with a “Kentucky is More” theme.

A Diverse Ag State

Seneca FFA member Cherrish Slaymaker (above, left) said the chapter’s goal for the exhibit is to educate members about Kentucky’s agricultural commodities through an interactive exhibit.

Bin-Busting Booth

“We brought a grain bin and different plants to display in our booth,” Slaymaker says. “We have cornstalks, tied tobacco leaves and eggs on display to showcase some of the things Kentucky produces.”

Test Your Knowledge

Visitors are able to apply the knowledge they learn from the booth to a quiz created by the chapter. My completing a quiz, members are entered for a chance to win a giveaway basket of Kentucky-made products.

More to Offer

“We hope members will learn that Kentucky is more than Kentucky Fried Chicken or the Bluegrass State,” Slaymaker says. “We want to show that we have a lot to offer.”
