In 2020, Chicago Ag Sciences FFA and the school’s Junior Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) chapter teamed up to create a Black History Museum experience. When classes went virtual during the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum was hosted online. Some students drafted and memorized scripts, while others portrayed a prominent Black leader in history and recorded videos to post online. A true team effort, the Black History Museum and its virtual counterpart share the history of Black leaders in an interactive way, for students and teachers to enjoy. Watch the video to learn how Chicago Ag Sciences FFA members put history in action, and visit VirtualBlackHistoryMuseum.org to experience the museum for yourself.
