National FFA Announces Membership Numbers for 2020-21
INDIANAPOLIS ( Friday, Aug. 20, 2021/National FFA Organization) – The National FFA Organization has announced its membership numbers for 2021 – with 735,038 members and 8,817 chapters in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
While the organization saw a small drop from 2020 due to the challenges of COVID-19, the number of chapters increased.
The top five student membership states are Texas, California, Georgia, Tennessee and Oklahoma. This year, the organization has almost 115,000 Latino members, more than 38,000 Black members and more than 11,000 American Indian and Alaska Native members. Forty-four percent of the membership is female, and 51 percent of the membership is male. FFA chapters can be found in 24 of the 25 largest U.S. cities.
