National FFA Central Region Vice President Valerie Earley had to make a quicker-than-expected exit from her home state FFA convention in Minnesota on Monday, but it was for a very important reason.
On invitation from President Trump, Earley represented FFA members nationwide on a Farmer Roundtable and Executive Order Signing in the Roosevelt Room on Tuesday. She was called to discuss the skills FFA members gain, the experiences they have and the future leaders they will become – all important topics as FFA continues to grow the next generation of agriculture.

Earley was one of 15 individuals selected for the event that also included Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue. The group discussed topics like agricultural trade, regulatory reform, rural investment and infrastructure, the Farm Bill and agricultural labor. Included in the event was a signing of an executive order the acknowledged “a reliable, safe, and affordable food, fiber, and forestry supply is critical to America’s national security, stability, and prosperity.”
Earley also wound up nearly front-and-center during the media availability session of the event, seated immediately to the president’s left:
