For the first time in six years, the International Leadership Seminar for State Officers has a new destination.
Spain and Portugal were announced Wednesday as the destination countries for state officers taking part in the experience that develops global perspective through visits to foreign culture, farms and agribusinesses. Applications will be accepted beginning August 1 for the trip that takes place January 2-15, 2020. Participants in ILSSO for the last six years visited South Africa.
New this year is a move to an application process for current and former state FFA officers to attend ILSSO. The merit-based application process replaces the former registration process at the request of the delegates to the 91st National FFA Convention & Expo.
Participants in the 2020 ILSSO trip will explore the historic capitals of each nation and immerse themselves in the local culture and agricultural communities of each nation.
