Q: The National FFA Organization is always evolving to best serve its members. What excites you about the future of FFA?

I envision all students enrolled in agricultural education with both the invitation and ability to experience a journey in our organization they can call their own. I envision an organization dedicated to serving all individuals and bridging relationships to their communities. This is the FFA of the 21st century. This is the organization of tomorrow, and I am humbled to witness it today.

– Kolesen McCoy, National FFA President

There is a list of items that excite me about the future of FFA, but the top of the list will always be the array of backgrounds and experiences brought to this organization by its diverse membership. Having members from rural and urban communities allows us to unite the various spectrums of agriculture, as well as learn from the stories and talents of individuals nationwide.

– Kourtney Lehman, National FFA Secretary

The thing that excites me most about the future of FFA is how our organization is always adapting and changing for good so we can meet the needs of our members and the people around them. As our name suggests, we work in the present for the future.

– Yomar Roman, Southern Region Vice President

One thing that really excites me is how our organization continues to ask questions about how we can stay relevant today while remembering the roots that we were founded on. In a fast-changing world, the values and mission of our organization remain steadfast, while we challenge ourselves to adapt to the current needs of our membership and stakeholders.

– Tess Seibel, Eastern Region Vice President

When we zip up the blue jacket, we feel a sense of belonging. Each year, new people get to experience that feeling and become part of a community that encourages personal growth. In the future, I’m looking forward to seeing members carry on the rich traditions we’ve developed as an organization and create their own traditions. I’m excited to see how members live out their passions and purposes in their own unique ways.

– Mamie Hertel, Central Region Vice President
