Jackson Wallen’s journey reflects a commitment to both his personal passions and community service.
Raised in an outdoors-oriented family, Wallen developed a deep appreciation for nature early on. His enthusiasm for trapping, which started at a young age, has now blossomed into a professional pursuit.
As a high school senior, Wallen has set himself apart by being named the Illinois FFA state champion in the wildlife production and management proficiency. He also earned a top-15 placing at the national level.
His expertise extends to an agricultural processing proficiency, where he achieved a top five ranking at the state level. This honor demonstrates his ability to transform fur and hides into highly sought-after hand-crafted products.
Wallen’s dedication extends beyond his individual achievements. He plays a vital role in maintaining the Maroa Forsyth High School pond, working alongside fellow members of his FFA chapter. His responsibilities include landscaping, managing cattails and caring for the pond’s aquatic life.
