Meet Alexis White
Sixteen-year-old Alexis White attends Fort Frye High School in Beverly, Ohio, where she serves as her FFA chapter’s secretary. White is currently a junior in high school and plans to go into the medical field.
Through her Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), White has been showing various livestock for several years. She has recently excelled at the county, state and national levels through her internship at Campbell Farms.
White exhibited a market hog at the Waterford Community Fair in Waterford, Ohio, where she won Grand Champion Market Hog and placed third overall in senior showmanship.

White’s internship with Campbell Farms has allowed her to exhibit their sheep over the summer as well.
“These activities consist of showing the sheep, taking care of general chores on the farm, working in the hoop house and working at our local farmers market,” she says. “These experiences have allowed me to further develop leadership skills, responsibility, time management and team building skills. These opportunities have been phenomenal and allowed me to have the chance to apply for a proficiency award in the future.”
In addition to showing livestock, White is heavily involved with FFA. She’s planning to earn her State FFA Degree, American FFA Degree and running for state office in the future. With her internship, she hopes to pursue a sheep production proficiency award in the future.
During the 2024 Ohio State FFA Convention, White worked alongside Ohio’s Country Journal and Ohio Ag Net while she served as a student reporter. She interviewed proficiency winners as well as keynote speakers and discussed various award winners throughout convention. She says the experience motivated her interest in marketing and broadcasting through agriculture as a potential career field.

What’s Next?
Alongside other ventures and opportunities White is diving headfirst into, she stays true to her schoolwork and home. White changed schools at the start of her sophomore year to further her education and become involved with the Fort Frye FFA Chapter. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA all throughout high school and continues to be active in her local 4-H club as well.
Looking ahead, White plans to continue her journey with Campbell Farms throughout high school and works every day to achieve higher awards and goals with her various livestock.
