A Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is a fantastic way for members to feel connected to agriculture. Miracle Brown, from the Lebanon FFA Chapter, has dedicated her time to developing her interest in agriculture and FFA.

Brown has found a passion for plant systems and agricultural education. She helps manage her school’s greenhouses during plant sale season, assists in caring for several elementary school gardens in her community, and maintains two miniature greenhouses and hydroponics systems at home. Previously, she was named the state winner for her horticulture and gardening projects.

In December 2022, she discovered her passion for social media, leading her to launch “Miracles of Agriculture.” She promotes financially sustainable gardening and highlights the significance of agricultural education programs.

“This platform perfectly aligns with my interests and enables me to impact others across the nation positively,” she said.

Brown wants to broaden her knowledge of agriculture and enhance others’ understanding of the industry, perfectly aligning her interests and valuable connections.

“I’m aiming to encourage FFA members to find projects that genuinely match their interests,” she said.

As she’s grown in her passion, Brown has gained strong verbal and written communication skills, expanding her advocacy for agriculture and allowing her to connect with people across the nation through her SAEs. “I prioritize ensuring that others benefit from learning my journey.”

These opportunities within her SAEs have also helped her apply her skills to Middle Tennessee FFA social platforms. She stays up-to-date on agricultural issues and social media trends to ensure the content she creates is as good as possible for the public.

“Having this platform allows me to explore relevant agricultural issues, emphasize the value of FFA, and develop my identity as an agricultural advocate.”

In addition to FFA, Brown is also involved in 4-H and the Tennessee Farm Bureau. In the future, she’d like to establish a community garden and continue to grow the “Miracles of Agriculture” platform. She cherishes many memories throughout her SAE journey, like organizing a camp to help students learn about proper gardening techniques. She has dedicated her knowledge to growing her SAEs and making miracles for students within FFA.

Remember to take the time to figure out what you are interested in and passionate about. Everyone has a spot to make miracles within FFA.
