Kansas State University hosted its annual Agricultural Education Speech Day on Feb. 1 on its main campus in Manhattan, Kan. FFA members had the opportunity to compete in many events, including FFA Creed speaking and prepared and extemporaneous speeches.
The university partners with its College of Agriculture and the Department of Agricultural Education to host this event, which helps members grow their leadership and public speaking skills. This event also prepares students to pursue college majors and careers related to agriculture, and it’s the first year since the COVID-19 pandemic that it has been held in person.
FFA members and advisors can expect this event to continue for years ahead, as this is a well-loved partnership between the Kansas FFA Association and Kansas State University.
