Alva FFA members drive to Alva High School for Drive Your Tractor to School Day.

Most FFA chapters have an event members enjoy more than any other. For the Alva FFA Chapter in Oklahoma that event is Drive Your Tractor to School Day.

Celebrated as part of the Alva High School FFA Week, Drive Your Tractor to School Day took place on Jan. 24, 2025. This event featured 17 tractors and two combines. FFA members were joined by family, friends and two Alva Public Schools administrators. A highlight of the day was watching an FFA member drive “Carl,” the chapter’s tractor restoration project. Afterward, FFA members enjoyed donuts and conversation.

A Generational Endeavor

Many parents and grandparents showed up to watch FFA members drive their tractors. Some tractors had even been driven by multiple generations of Alva FFA members.

A Team Effort
