For students interested in science and research.

Welcome to the newly updated National FFA Agriscience Research SAE Program (formerly known as the National FFA Agriscience Fair). The importance of research within FFA and the broader industry of agriculture makes it imperative that we evolve our efforts in agriscience to align with the established SAE for All program. By doing so, we will empower our agriscience-focused members, providing them with greater opportunities to engage and thrive in FFA through their agriscience research SAE. This evolution is not just a step forward but a necessary leap to ensure that our members have the platform they need to innovate and excel.

2025 NATIONAL FFA AGRISCIENCE RESEARCH SAE PROGRAM

The opportunities with Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs) are truly limitless, designed to align with students’ passions and career aspirations. Starting with a Foundational SAE, students lay the groundwork for their agricultural journey, which they can later elevate through Immersion SAEs. These immersive experiences provide an incredible chance for students to build on foundational activities with real-world, hands-on engagement in their chosen career paths.

In addition to practical experiences, Research SAEs offer a deep dive into the scientific aspects of agriculture. These programs involve meticulous investigation of materials, processes, and information, either to generate new knowledge or validate existing research. Agriscience Research SAEs can be experimental, analytical, or inventive research, offering a broad spectrum of inquiry. Through these projects, students are encouraged to collaborate with peers, educators, university researchers and industry specialists.

This journey culminates in an inspiring showcase at the National FFA Convention & Expo, where students proudly present their agriscience research SAE projects, demonstrating their growth, expertise and passion for the agricultural sciences.
