About the Author: Greyson Applebee

Hello National FFA! My name is Greyson Applebee, and I’m proud to represent the Pumpkin State of Illinois as a member of the Maroa-Forsyth FFA Chapter. I’m thrilled to embark on this exciting year as part of the first-ever National FFA USA Reporters team.
At the state level, I’ve competed in Creed and Agriscience, where I have achieved success, including winning and placing fourth nationally in Agriscience. On the section level in Illinois, I’ve served as Section 16 Secretary and Reporter, and at the chapter level, I’ve held the positions of Chapter Sentinel, Secretary, and Vice President.
Looking ahead, I plan to continue my education at a four-year university, such as Southern Illinois University Carbondale or the University of Missouri, with a focus on Environmental Engineering or Sciences. My goal is to further pursue a PhD in this field and make a significant impact in environmental solutions.
I’m eager to contribute to our FFA community and to grow through this incredible opportunity.
Jackson Wallen excels in his two SAEs, having achieved state and national recognition for his skills in trapping.
