About Elza Moffatt

Howdy everyone! My name is Elza Moffatt and I am proudly representing the Douglas FFA Chapter from the great state of WYOMING! I will be serving as the one of the FIRST EVER National FFA in the USA Reporters for the state of Wyoming! Even though I am a reporter here, I am actually currently serving as my chapter's secretary! I am 15 years old currently and I am in my junior year of high school! I am currently a part of my varsity high school golf team, indoor track team and am an honor roll student! I love to show sheep, goats, and pigs! I’m pretty sure I have shown almost every animal - small or large. I have been showing in 4-H for eight years now, and have been in FFA for three! During my first year in FFA and also my freshman year of high school, my team won state poultry judging! We competed at Nationals in 2023 and placed silver, it was an awesome experience spent with some of my favorite people. My current CDEs are Ag Sales, Vet Science, and Marketing Plan; and my upcoming LDES will soon be Extemporaneous Speaking for the first time. My SAE's include both raising market animals and running my own graphic design business! Through my graphic design business, I was able to sell merchandise after winning the t-shirt design contest at my state FFA convention this year. Outside of FFA I love to scrapbook! Whether it's raising livestock, working on community service projects, or learning about agricultural science, these experiences have shaped who I am today and have sparked a desire to pursue a future in the agricultural field. I'm excited to continue my journey and see where my passions will take me. Follow along as I have the opportunity to highlight and show off what the awesome members of the Wyoming FFA are doing!
