About the Author: Carson Osteen
I am Carson Osteen, a junior at Haywood High School in West Tennessee. I currently serve as the Haywood FFA Vice President and I am part of the first-ever FFA in the USA Reporter Team. My SAEs are Agriculture Communications, Agriculture Education, and Poultry Production. I am passionate about writing stories of other members striving to achieve. I plan to attend college in the fall of 2026 to major in agricultural communications and pursue a career in sharing stories of others in the field. I am excited to use this platform to share the stories of others and grow agriculture.
Teaching students about the importance of agriculture is this Tennessee chapter’s primary focus — and will continue to be in the future.
During the 2023-24 school year, West Tennessee FFA achieved remarkable growth, reaching a pinnacle of success at the 97th National FFA Convention & Expo.
Among the ways that Brighton FFA gives back to their local community is through their annual Pumpkin Patch.
