NATIONAL FFA RESEARCH SAE
The opportunities with Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs) are truly limitless, designed to align with students’ passions and career aspirations. Starting with a Foundational SAE, students lay the groundwork for their agricultural journey, which they can later elevate through Immersion SAEs. These immersive experiences provide an incredible chance for students to build on foundational activities with real-world, hands-on engagement in their chosen career paths.
In addition to practical experiences, Research SAEs offer a deep dive into the scientific aspects of agriculture. These programs involve meticulous investigation of materials, processes, and information, either to generate new knowledge or validate existing research. Agriscience Research SAEs can be experimental, analytical, or inventive research, offering a broad spectrum of inquiry. Through these projects, students are encouraged to collaborate with peers, educators, university researchers and industry specialists.
This journey culminates in an inspiring showcase at the National FFA Convention & Expo, where students proudly present their agriscience research SAE projects, demonstrating their growth, expertise and passion for the agricultural sciences.
