Indianapolis, Ind. (Thursday, March 13, 2025) – On Tuesday, March 18, FFA student members, advisors, and leaders across the country will come together to share the importance of agriculture with elected officials and their communities as part of National Ag Day.

National Ag Day, which is being celebrated on March 18th this year with the theme “Together, We Grow,” is a day designated to celebrate the industry that feeds, fuels, clothes, and sustains a growing world and the critical role agriculture plays in our culture and economy. Organized by the Agriculture Council of America, this day is an opportunity for others to learn how agriculture provides safe, abundant and affordable products and its essential role in producing food, fiber and fuel.

The National FFA Organization, the nation’s premier school-based student leadership organization with over one million members in all 50 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, uses National Ag Day as another opportunity to celebrate and advocate for agricultural education and the impact of agriculture on our world. FFA is a key component of agricultural education that prepares the next generation of leaders in the science, business, and technology of agriculture, helping each student develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.

National FFA CEO Scott Stump, National FFA Foundation President Molly Ball, and National FFA Manager of Advocacy, Literacy and Ag-Based Experiences Celya Glowacki will visit Washington, D.C., alongside four FFA National Officers – President Thaddeus Bergschneider, Secretary Luke Jennings, Central Region Vice President Mary Schrieber, and Eastern Region Vice President Caroline Groth. These FFA leaders will meet with leaders on Capitol Hill, hear from USDA representatives, and discuss the state of the industry with corporate and industry partners.

Together, we can honor those who make it all possible and inspire others to contribute to this vital field.”

Advocacy and educational efforts will also take place elsewhere across the country next week, timed with National Ag Day. For example, Delaware FFA will hold a thank you luncheon at Legislative Hall for elected officials and FFA students to discuss current agricultural issues and partner with New Jersey FFA to provide workshops for Washington D.C.’s three FFA chapters.
