How did the National FFA Organization go from 33 delegates representing 18 states to more than 1 million members representing 50 states and two territories? Let’s take a journey to Middlesex County, N.J., where a brand-new chapter was chartered.
On Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, the New Jersey FFA Association held the official chartering ceremony for the Middlesex-Piscataway FFA Chapter. Middlesex-Piscataway FFA is a chapter from Middlesex County Magnet Schools, a vocational high school district established in 1914.
Middlesex County Magnet Schools educate high school students and adults in occupational training programs. This district provides more than 30 career programs on five campuses: East Brunswick, Edison, Perth Amboy, Piscataway and Woodbridge. Students enrolled in Middlesex County Magnet Schools receive hands-on learning experiences that teach them about careers and higher education opportunities.
Middlesex-Piscataway FFA members are all enrolled in their school’s agriscience class. They witnessed the signing of their official charter and attended the official chartering ceremony. This year, they plan to attend the New Jersey FFA Association’s Horticultural Exposition in March and state convention in May.
The addition of Middlesex-Piscataway FFA moves the New Jersey FFA Association from 37 to 38 chapters across the state.
