In the heart of the Sumner Valley lies the Sumner FFA Chapter. With members committed to service above themselves and leadership that benefits others. There is no doubt that there are individuals in communities around the world who are in need of support, especially during this time of year. Recently, Sumner FFA members collected items for the Sumner High School Food Bowl to support those in need this holiday season with a fun, engaging way to collect these goods. Members raised over $470 and collected more than 890 items that will be donated to the Sumner Food Bank. Cortlynn Joyce, the chapter’s committee vice president, explains more about the significance of the Food Bowl and how members are striving to help.
