FFA Center Brings History to Life

“We are student-focused here at 6060 FFA Drive,” says 2023-24 National FFA Western Region Vice President Emily Gossett, so it should come as no surprise that the National FFA Center pays tribute to the rich history of FFA members and supporters.

Historic FFA jackets, photos and other memorabilia, including personalized bricks, fill the atrium and line front entrance.

“One of my favorite things to do is to find a brick (and) look up what it’s all about,” Gossett says. “I just think it’s a really cool and unique way to stay connected to the people that have built this entire place up.”

The “FFA crib,” as Gossett refers to it, is one of this year’s national convention tour spots, and Gossett invites all FFA members and supporters to see the legacy that’s been built.

“This space is where members and alumni and everybody can truly (see) the history that has been the FFA. All across these walls, we’re seeing so many different historical moments and sites that have shaped the organization that we know today is a national organization, but we see all of the history that has built us up until this point in 2024,” Gossett says.

“All the students we’ve met on the road this year, all the students that are sitting in over 9,000 classrooms across the country and in two territories, it’s all for them,” Gossett says. The FFA Center is where our work comes together, she continues, “but the students – who are the future of agriculture – are the main focus.”
