TV
Tune in to the first television network centered on women in Western sports. As women’s Western sports grew in popularity, Rural Media Group, the parent company of RFD-TV, launched a special platform to bring these events to television. The Cowgirl Channel airs a number of shows, such as All American Cowgirl Chicks, which gives an inside look into the lives of a female equestrian drill team; FarmHer and RanchHer, which share the stories of women who are paving the way in agriculture; and Rodeo Queens and Grit and Grace, which showcase Western fashion or rodeo royalty. The channel also covers a Women’s Professional Rodeo Association event each week.
VIDEO SERIES
These two cowgirls hit the road to find – and tell – the unique stories in agriculture. Courtenay DeHoff and Kiah Twisselman Burchett have deep passions for agriculture, and they love telling the stories of the people behind it. After meeting at an airport, the two created Backroad Cowgirls to showcase how farming and ranching connect communities. They loaded up a Volkswagen van and hit the road in search of stories. The premier season is available now on YouTube and at backroadcowgirls.com. It features a cattle rancher, a restaurateur, a vegetable farmer and more.
