Contributions to FFA are vital. The organization’s donors and alumni support our nation’s youth in their classrooms and beyond. National FFA saluted its supporters during a celebration breakfast at the 94th National FFA Convention & Expo.
During the 94th National FFA Convention & Expo Celebration Breakfast, Scott Stump, National FFA CEO, shared how FFA has impacted him. “The FFA Creed helped me find my voice,” he said.
Scott Stump shared how support and sponsorship of FFA helps members succeed. Through philanthropic support, Stump says that investing in these students will help them in their daily lives and keep them in the agriculture industry.
A National FFA update was shared during the National FFA Convention & Expo Celebration Breakfast. “By 2050 there will be 2 billion more people,” Stump added. “It falls on us, as the agricultural industry, to feed and clothe them.” Donations help FFA equip and prepare more students for the future.
FFA members from all over the nation were able to connect with sponsors and discuss how their support impacted their lives and careers.
Jason Ferreira, a National Teacher Ambassador for FFA, discussed how he was able to become who he is today thanks to his FFA supervised agricultural experience (SAE). He was able to use his SAE about market rabbits to educate his own students now. He now has 25 students exhibiting rabbits that would have never known about agriculture if it hadn’t been for his experiences and expertise.
Ferreira expressed to sponsors and donors that they allow members to have inspiring opportunities. “Sponsorships have allowed our members to stand on the national stage” he said.
A combination of state presidents, national FFA officer finalists, American Star Award finalists, and proficiency finalists were celebrated for their hard work and success.
Molly Ball, National FFA Foundation president, with the help Seth Ariens, an FFA member who has been influenced by sponsors, recognized the donors, alumni and supporters who contributed 21 million dollars last year.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of National FFA Alumni and Supporters, Molly Ball announced a way for donors and sponsors to donate $50 dollars in honor of this historic event.
