Fan Favorites: A Look Inside the Convention Expo and Shopping Mall

The National FFA Expo and Shopping Mall is a highlight FFA members and advisors eagerly anticipate each year. As soon as the doors open, hundreds of enthusiastic attendees flood the aisles. Here, members sound off about their favorite parts of the expo and shopping mall.

  • My favorite part is, “definitely being able to connect with members from all across the country,” says FFA Experience booth volunteer Madelyn Simpson. “It’s the best part of the convention.”
  • “My favorite part is seeing the empty booth at 11:55, and then at 12:00 when the doors open, it fills with blue jackets,” says Bridget Dusing, manager of sponsorship and event marketing at John Deere. “It’s wonderful to watch so many people come through. I also love giving away thousands of John Deere hats each year and seeing them march through the building.”
  • “Obviously, the (Culver’s custard) attracts the most people, but the cake pops are cool too,” says Kentucky FFA member Case Kelly.
  • “I like to shop; they have great booths, and I enjoy meeting other people,” says Virginia FFA member Sarah Ely.
  • “I love shopping and exploring all the different states,” says Virginia FFA member Alison Jones.
  • “My favorite part is the intriguing setup,” says Cherokee (Ala.) FFA member Olivia Underwood of the college exhibits. “I also know that Mississippi State is a good school, so I’m here learning all the information.”
  • My favorite part is, “definitely the fact that the wonderful actor Mr. Darryl Bill went to Mississippi State,” says Cherokee (Ala.) FFA member Kyndra Manuel. I’m trying to follow in his legacy and become an actor.”
