The Student Showcase Stage, housed in the Indiana Convention Center, serves as a vessel of ambition and self-expression during this year’s 96th National FFA Convention & Expo. Throughout the week, 81 talented FFA members representing 18 chapters and 60 projects will take center stage to share their interests and passions with a live audience.
“Everything FFA does is at the heart of their students,” says Celya Glowacki, manager of the National FFA program and events division. “We are truly a student-led organization, so it’s important that we showcase the students not just receiving their medals on stage, but what they’re doing to get there.”
Presentations include feature members’ ground-breaking agriscience research, in addition to award-winning proficiencies and talent performances. For Osseo-Fairchild FFA member Henry Cash, this platform serves as a launchpad for developing career readiness skills and fostering his personal growth.
“I see it benefiting me in the future because I’ll maybe be better at public speaking,” Cash says. “Maybe in the future, this will inspire me to do more and more.”
